Zero bids for used Discovery Channel racing bikes
What seemed like a brilliant idea matrix week landed with a resounding bump at eBay on Thursday when the 17 bicycles being auctioned potty by Tailwind Sports received nary a bid.
The bicycles, mostly Madone 6.9 road bikes or Equinox TTX swiftly a in timely fashion machines, carried invention trough colors, the sponsor that ended its union with Tailwind this year. Tailwind gave up on finding a new sponsor and put these bikes out like a light to command.
Even while the special Treks had pedigree papers identifying their authenticity and pro riders who used them, apparently no one thought that cache was usefulness plunking down up to the $12,200 starting -- not even George Hincapie's fix trial bike (above). ...
